Dr. Horst Sievert (Germany) is the Director of the CardioVascular Center Frankfurt at Sankt Katharinen Hospital, Germany. A pioneer in interventional cardiology, he was the first to perform percutaneous left atrial appendage closure. He has authored more than 400 publications and contributed to over 100 books. His numerous accolades include the TCT Geoffrey O. Hartzler Master Clinical Operator Award and the Bleifeld Memorial Award (2013).
