Welcome to the 1st Left Main Summit 2007 is to be held from August 24 (Friday)~
25 (Saturday), in Jeju Island, Korea, which is one of the most beautiful
islands in East Asia.
Unprotected Left Main Coronary Artery Disease has remained the province
of coronary artery bypass graft surgery. However, approximately 10 years
ago there began an exploration of stent implantation into unprotected
left main arteries and moreover, most important Drug-Eluting Stents have
invigorated this field. Now, large-scale international clinical trials
are under way to prove the safety and efficacy of percutaneous drug-eluting
stent implantation as substitution for surgical therapy.
This 2-day symposium will penetrate this sub-set of patients with the
strategies, tips & tricks and will have didactic lectures and case
presentation from world opinion leaders in Left Main Stenting. Besides
advanced techniques, devices, and all about Left Mains & Bifurcations
will be discussed interactively.
Another academic viewpoint of the 1st Left Main Summit is the Consensus
Document contributed by the invited faculty as well as the opinion leaders
of this field that will be published and circulated through the prominent
journals. That accumulation will dedicate Left Main Coronary Intervention
to the next phase with no doubt.
Besides, Jeju is located less one hour by air from Seoul, and the perfect
get away destination traveling to Korea, which is best experienced by
the wonderful sites. In late August, Jeju has mild climate and excellent
places to visit, so you can consider sparing some time for your summer
vacation.
This meeting should be anchored and set a milestone as the next phase
of the evolution in LM
Looking forward to meeting you in Jeju
Sincerely yours,
Seung-Jung Park, M.D. Ph.D. FACC
