Left Main & Bifurcation Summit is dedicated exclusively to the evolving field of the Unprotected Left Main Coronary Artery Disease and Bifurcation Lesions co-sponsored by Cardiovascular Research Foundation (CRF) in New York. Original research and the latest clinical data on this challenging field are covered in depth and presented by world thought leaders including state-of-the-art updates toward the new roadmap of treatment for the left main disease and bifurcation lesions. The 1st inaugural meeting was initiated as 2 day symposium in August 2007 under the name of the 1st Left Main Summit in Jeju, Korea with 300 attendees. The world thought leaders in this special field, Dr. Martin B. Leon (Columbia University Medical Center, USA), Dr. Antonio Colombo (San Raffaele Hospital, Italy) were invited as course directors with Dr. Seung-Jung Park (Asan Medical Center, Korea) and Dr. Eberhard Grube (Heart Center Siegburg, Germany), Dr. Gary S. Mintz (CRF, USA) and other renowned international faculty joined this conference. The consensus document agreed from this 1st gathering is to be published by the working group the invited faculty as well as the opinion leaders of the field and will be circulated through out the prominent journals. Changing its name to the Left Main & Bifurcation Summit 2008, this 2nd regular conference was held in conjunction with the 13th Angioplasty Summit-TCT Asia Pacific and the European Bifurcation Club (EBC) newly joined as one of its associations. With 500 attendees and 41 international faculty members, much of the latest data including DELFT Registry and SYNTAX presented by Dr. Patrick W. Serruys (Erasmus Medical Center, Netherlands) were reported and the live cases demonstrations from the Asan Medical Center inspired the enthusiasm of the audiences. In June 2009, its 3rd event will be held in New York.
