CVRF aims to provide promising treatment to improve the quality of life for patients with cardiovascular disease and bridge the gap between the laboratory and the bedside.

Since its formation in 2002, we have focused on finding the most practical way to bring the lab closer to the patient¡¯s care in the ongoing clinical researches based on global understanding. In close collaboration with renowned international centers from East and West, CVRF has played an integral leading role in coordinating and conducting international clinical trials by the foundation¡¯s outstanding investigators. By independent analysis of numerous data and database management, we make the swift and decisive progress of developing the insights into risks and outcomes for patients after interventional procedures that makes ultimately important contribution to the area of interventional cardiovascular medicine.

As an aspect of educating physicians and health care professionals, we also accomplish several international meetings each year, and produce a vast array of educational materials published in scientific book chapters, medical journal articles and educational abstracts as well as on our official website. Our clinical training programs are recognized internationally with the highest commendation and they provide an invaluable opportunity to work closely with leading interventional cardiologists.

To march ahead into the brighter future, we will continue to work smarter and harder in the direction that long experience suggests where it will lead to the best payoff in terms of better patient care.

In the past 30 years the burgeoning subspecialty of interventional cardiology has transformed the treatment of patients with cardiovascular disease. The evolution of this new standard has required a commitment from global thought leaders and academic centers to advanced operator techniques, evidence-based medicine, and educational programs. Importantly Asan Medical Center in Seoul, Korea and the associated CardioVascular Research Foundation (CVRF) chaired by of Dr. Seung-Jung Park have been shining symbols of 'leadership by example' in the field of interventional cardiology in the Asia Pacific region for more than a decade and also achieved international renown as a state-of-the-art clinical facility practicing the very highest standards of interventional therapy.

We, CRF in the United States are honored to actively collaborate with our esteemed colleagues from CVRF and the Asan Medical Center in many ways. CVRF has been the vehicle for managing numerous important clinical trials which have impacted the global understanding of critical questions in interventional cardiology. Furthermore, CVRF's dedication to research and education is also demonstrated at the annual Angioplasty Summit-TCT Asia Pacific with over 3,000 symposium participants from across the globe, where CRF participates each year. We are confident that everyone who attends TCT Asia- Pacific is exposed to CVRF educational materials will greatly augment their professional medical skills for the purpose of improving healthcare for their patients.

In the near future, we anticipate that major influences in cardiovascular therapy will mushroom from the Asia-Pacific region and this will reflect the important role that CVRF has played in the development. We are hopeful that we can share experiences to enhance in these revolutionary changes.
